Impact & Initiatives
Opportunity Should Multiply.
We believe the strongest opportunities are the ones that travel.
A resource reaches someone. Access becomes capability. Capability creates opportunity. Opportunity develops leadership. And eventually, someone who was given an opportunity becomes capable of creating one for someone else.
That is the kind of impact DeWitt Global Ventures wants to help build.
Our Impact Model
Impact Should Travel.
Traditional measures of impact often stop at the first outcome: a donation made, a person trained, a product purchased, an opportunity provided.
We are interested in what happens next.
Did access become capability?
Did capability create opportunity?
Did opportunity create greater agency?
Did someone who benefited become capable of opening a door for someone else?
Success isn't simply opportunity created.
It's opportunity recreated.
How We Engage
Different Pathways. One Intention.
DeWitt Global operates across different industries, communities, and environments. Our impact will not always take the same form. But our work is guided by three interconnected pathways.
01
Invest in People
Capability Changes What Becomes Possible.
Knowledge, mentorship, education, professional development, and entrepreneurship can change the range of choices available to a person.
Through our businesses, relationships, and future initiatives, DeWitt Global seeks opportunities to help people develop practical capability — not simply receive information.

02
Strengthen Communities
Back the People Already Building Change.
Strong communities rarely begin with outsiders arriving with all the answers.
They are built by people who understand their communities, their challenges, their opportunities, and what progress can look like in their own context.
Our role is not to replace those leaders. It is to recognize them, respect their knowledge, and — where we can add meaningful value — help strengthen their ability to keep building.
Lead from the back.
Strengthen from within.

Tanzania Women Architects for Humanity (TAWAH)
TAWAH is a Tanzania-based organization led by women architects and allied professionals working at the intersection of the built environment, skills development, opportunity, and community.
DeWitt Global Ventures supports TAWAH because its work reflects a principle central to our own philosophy: sustainable progress is strongest when local knowledge, local leadership, and local capability remain at the center of the solution.

Build Better Systems of Commerce
Commerce Creates Relationships.
Who produced it?
Where did it come from?
Who created value along the way?
Who participated in that value?
What relationships made the transaction possible?
Through North x Northeast Trading Company and future DGV ventures, we are exploring how greater intentionality, provenance, direct relationships, and deeper understanding of value chains can create better systems of commerce.
The goal is not to pretend every transaction creates impact.
The goal is to understand the system well enough to make better choices within it.
That means asking harder questions about sourcing, relationships, sustainability, quality, ownership, and how value moves from origin to market.
From Origin to Opportunity
Know Where Value Begins.
North x Northeast Trading Company is developing relationships and sourcing pathways that connect global markets with products, producers, creators, and stories worth knowing.
Its work in Tanzania provides an opportunity to explore what more intentional commerce can look like when provenance, relationships, quality, and community remain visible rather than disappearing behind the transaction.
Explore North x NortheastOur Philosophy
Impact Is Not a Department.
We don't believe responsibility begins where business ends.
It belongs in the decisions made about what we build, who we build with, where value travels, whose knowledge is respected, and what becomes possible because the work exists.
Sometimes that responsibility is expressed through direct financial support.
Sometimes through education.
Sometimes through partnership.
Sometimes through the way a product is sourced or a business is structured.
Sometimes it means using our platform to amplify someone already doing the work.
Impact is not something we attach to the business.
It should influence how we build the business.
What We Are Building Toward
The Multiplier Is the Measure.
As DeWitt Global grows, we want our ability to create and support opportunity to grow with it.
That means building businesses capable of creating value, supporting organizations already creating change, developing people who can create opportunity for themselves and others, and learning how our decisions can contribute to stronger systems over time.
Success isn't simply opportunity created.
It's opportunity recreated by the people who received it.
Opportunity Should Multiply.
Partnership
What Could We Make Possible Together?
Some of the most meaningful work begins when organizations, businesses, communities, and people bring different resources to the same opportunity.
If your work aligns with the way DeWitt Global thinks about capability, partnership, intentional commerce, or opportunity, we are interested in the conversation.
