Connecting what belongs together.

Building what should exist.

Challenging what stands in the way.

Kimberly DeWitt is an entrepreneur, strategist, and global connector driven by a belief that some of the greatest possibilities emerge when the right people, ideas, cultures, and opportunities find one another. Across business, technology, public service, international commerce, and community impact, she has built a career around making those connections—and turning them into something tangible.

“Everything you want is on the other side of your fear.”

Kimberly DeWitt — Founder, Chairwoman & CEO of DeWitt Global Ventures

The Connector Behind the Ventures

Kimberly DeWitt sees possibility in the spaces between people, ideas, and opportunity.

There has rarely been a straight line through Kimberly's career, and that is precisely the point. Across entrepreneurship, enterprise transformation, public service, technology, workforce development, international trade, and community impact, one instinct has remained constant: connect what belongs together.

People with opportunity. Ideas with resources. Organizations with solutions. Communities with access. Global markets with local creators. Vision with the structure required to make it real. Those connections often reveal something else: what is missing. That is where the builder emerges. DeWitt Global Ventures grew from that intersection of connection and creation. Its companies operate in different industries, but they share a common purpose.

  • DeWitt Consultancy Partners connects organizations, strategy, people, and execution to move complex ideas forward.
  • Technology Learning Alliance connects people to knowledge, skills, and opportunities capable of changing their professional trajectories.
  • North x Northeast Trading Company connects consumers, creators, producers, cultures, and communities across borders through commerce.

Different industries. Different tools. Different expressions of the same belief: The distance between what exists and what is possible often begins with a connection. For Kimberly, however, connection is not networking for networking's sake. It carries a responsibility to act. When a connection reveals an opportunity, build. When it reveals a gap, bridge it. When it reveals a system that unnecessarily limits people or possibility, challenge it.

That philosophy sits at the center of DeWitt Global and at the center of Kimberly's approach to leadership. Entrepreneurship is not simply about owning companies. It is about creating vehicles through which people, ideas, resources, and opportunities can find one another and then building something meaningful from what becomes possible.

What I Believe

The principles behind how I connect, build, and lead.

01

I believe connection creates possibility.

The right conversation can change a career. The right introduction can unlock an idea. The right partnership can bridge communities, industries, and continents. Part of leadership is seeing connections others may not see—and having the courage to make them.

02

I believe access without empowerment isn't enough.

Opening a door matters. Equipping someone to walk through it, succeed on the other side, and eventually open doors for others matters more. Opportunity should multiply.

03

I believe the best partnerships make everyone stronger.

Genuine partnership requires listening, learning, sharing power, and recognizing the people already doing the work. Sometimes the strongest form of leadership is leading from the back.

04

I believe business can make money and make things better.

Profit and purpose are not opposing ideas. Commerce can create jobs, strengthen communities, expand access, connect cultures, and build generational opportunity. The question is not whether businesses should create value. It is how broadly we are willing to define who receives it.

05

I believe intentionality matters, especially when it is inconvenient.

How something is built matters as much as what is built. The fastest, easiest, or most profitable path is not automatically the right one. Provenance matters. People matter. Sustainability matters. The decisions nobody sees still define what an organization ultimately becomes.

06

I believe leaders should create more leaders.

The measure of leadership is not how indispensable you become. It is what becomes possible without you. I want the people and organizations I touch to become more capable, more confident, and more willing to create opportunity for someone else.

07

I believe "that's how we've always done it" is an invitation.

Systems, traditions, and assumptions should serve people—not the other way around. I don't believe in disruption for its own sake. But when the way something has always been done becomes the reason something better cannot happen, I am willing to ask the uncomfortable question, challenge the comfortable answer, and help build the alternative.

And above all, I believe fear is often the last thing standing between an idea and its possibility.

“Everything you want is on the other side of your fear.”

For me, that isn't a slogan. It is a challenge:

Make the connection. Build the thing. Ask the question. Enter the room. Cross the border. Take the risk.

And see what becomes possible.

Building Beyond Business

Leadership carries a responsibility beyond the organizations we build.

For Kimberly DeWitt, leadership has never stopped at the boundaries of a company. Her work across public service, nonprofit leadership, community advocacy, and global engagement reflects the same philosophy that shapes DeWitt Global: access should lead to empowerment, opportunity should multiply, and those with the ability to create pathways have a responsibility to do so.

Public Service

Building from the Inside

As the inaugural Chief Data Officer for the State of Kansas, Kimberly stepped into a role created to help shape how one of the state's largest institutions thinks about data, governance, innovation, and transformation.

The experience reinforced a principle that has followed her throughout her career: meaningful change rarely comes from strategy alone. It requires connecting people, building trust, challenging assumptions, and creating structures capable of carrying the work forward.

Board & Community Leadership

Lending More Than a Name

Kimberly's approach to board service is intentionally hands-on. She believes leadership means bringing your relationships, experience, voice, resources, and willingness to work to the table—not simply occupying a seat.

Her service has extended across organizations working in community equity, education, humanitarian design, and international development, including:

  • Tanzania Women Architects for Humanity (TAWAH)
  • Justice and Equity for Life
  • Precious Redeemer Worldwide

Across each organization, the objective may be different. The responsibility is the same: help strengthen the people already doing the work.

Global Engagement

Making the World Smaller

Kimberly's global work is grounded in a belief that international engagement should be built with communities, not simply conducted in them.

From entrepreneurship and education to commerce and community partnerships, she seeks relationships that respect local knowledge, elevate local champions, and create value on both sides of a border.

For Kimberly, being global isn't measured by the number of countries in which you operate.

It is measured by the depth of the relationships you build across them.

The Multiplier Effect

OPPORTUNITYSHOULDMULTIPLY.

The goal is not simply to create impact. It is to create people capable of creating more of it.

A student becomes a professional.

A professional becomes a mentor.

An entrepreneur creates jobs.

A local partner becomes a champion.

An opportunity received becomes an opportunity extended.

THAT IS WHAT IT MEANS FOR OPPORTUNITY TO MULTIPLY.
